Young Carers enjoy Christmas in Exeter Street

Farnham Maltings – Christmas in Exeter Street.

Adapted from Diana Hendry and John Lawrence’s classic children’s book, Farnham Maltings’ production of Christmas in Exeter Street promises brand new songs, plenty of humour and a sprinkle of festive magic.

37 characters, 7 animals and 10 instruments – all under one roof! Christmas in Exeter Street is the perfect festive treat.

Maggie Mistletoe is hosting Christmas. She’s expecting all the usual family members, but come Christmas Eve the doorbell won’t stop ringing as guest after unexpected guest arrives! From eccentric Uncle Bartholomew who’s just returned from Australia to Maggie’s five aunts from Abingdon and their three Pekinese dogs, where will they all sleep?

Performance on Friday 13th December 2024 at 13.00pm in the Great Hall of Farnham Maltings. We booked 150 tickets for young carers and their teachers from junior schools for Maltings Christmas play at 1pm on Friday 13th December. Schools are William Cobbett, St Polycarp’s, Highfield South Farnham, Potters Gate, and St Peter’s. We also paid for a coach to transport all the attendees from William Cobbett to and from the Maltings. Great feedback from the schools :

On behalf of myself and all the children at St Polycarp’s who came to see Christmas on Exeter Street at The Maltings this afternoon a huge thank you to you all at Farnham Lions for your wonderful generosity in inviting us.  The show was great fun, had an inspiring message and the children loved all the music and magic.  It was a very special afternoon and we are so grateful to you .

I am writing to thank you for enabling us to take a group of children to see Christmas in Exeter Street at the Maltings last Friday .It was a lovely opportunity and the children we took really enjoyed the show.  It was great to hear them laughing and having fun.  Some of the children had never experienced a live performance, so we really appreciate your kindness in giving our children such a memorable experience. Thank you again for all your support and generosity, it really does make a difference to our children’s lives.

I would also like to thank Farnham Lions for the tickets to see Christmas on Exeter Street. All of the children loved the show and I had so many of them approach me and tell me that they had never been to the theatre before so thank you.
