Launched in 1977 this great Beer Festival and one of Farnham’s largest events is approaching it’s 50th. It is held each year during April at the splendid Farnham Maltings and is considered to be the longest running Beer Festival to have been held at a single venue.
The original concept was to offer beer and cider lovers the opportunity to choose from a wide range of offerings from around the UK and to raise funds for Charity. Over £1.1m has been raised so far and spent by Farnham Lions supporting local good causes.
The ethos remains the same today. As well as real ales and cider, visitors are also able to enjoy Keg Beers, Lagers, beers from overseas and lo/no alcohol offerings, for 2026, a selection of wine and cocktails, as well as live music, street food and a great atmosphere.
Amongst the almost 5000 visitors and volunteers are many who experience the event for the first time and many others who share stories about being at all or most of them. It is a great blend of younger and older
Beerex 2025 was another huge success, blessed by fabulous weather.
