Taste of Christmas Appeal 2026

Helping make Christmas special for our local community

Farnham Lions Club is calling on the local community to help spread a little festive kindness this Christmas by supporting its “Taste of Christmas Appeal 2026”.

The appeal aims to help local families and individuals in need enjoy a more special Christmas by providing food parcels filled with festive treats and non-perishable food items. Every year, Christmas can bring extra financial pressure for families and individuals, and a bag of Christmas treats can make a real difference to someone who needs a helping hand.

Getting involved is simple, members of the public are invited to fill one of the Farnham Lions appeal bags with non-perishable Christmas food and treats, then drop off their filled bag at one of the designated collection points, The Cazaro Lounge in Brightwells, The Wineyard in The lion and Lamb Yard or at The Farnham Maltings.

Items might include Christmas puddings, mince pies, Christmas cakes, biscuits, savoury snacks, children’s selection packs, tinned ham, cereals, and other non perishable goods to help make a Christmas meal a little more special.  Please ensure that all items are unopened, in date, suitable for storage without refrigeration and please no alcohol.

The donated food will be collected by our volunteers, who will put together Christmas food parcels for distribution to local people in need.

The appeal starts on November the 1st when the collection boxes will be in place.  This is a wonderful opportunity for residents, families, business and community groups to come together and show the generosity for which Farnham is known.

One bag, a little kindness and a lot of Christmas cheer !
