Following the formation of Farnham Lions in 1968 the members of the club took on re-establishing the historic farnham Carnival as a great Farnham community event. It remains the biggest outdoor event in Farnham.

It was principally a parade around the town that ended in Castle St. Over the years it got bigger and better and grew so much that the Lions invited the Hedgehogs to get involved as well as committee members not affiliated to either Lions or Hedgehogs and that remains the same today. The Hedgehogs manage the parade and the Lions manage all the activities at Gostrey Meadow.  Members of both organisations along with many other volunteers work together to put on a great event.
