Amidst all the changes in the Winter Fuel Allowances this year, there is one thing that has not changed, in fact it has worsened significantly, and that is the numbers of individuals and families in our local community that simply can’t afford to heat their homes and cook food.  With general and food inflation as they are, there are many that are struggling. 

Whether you receive a Winter Fuel Allowance or not please consider making a donation to Lions Project Wenceslas to help us to continue to help those in the most real need in our community from having to make decisions between heating and food. 

We only make payments direct to the fuel companies helping to pay fuel debts, or topping up prepayment cards, so you can be absolutely sure that every penny you donate goes directly to your intended purpose of helping to relieve fuel debt and poverty. 

Farnham Lions Tony Burke said “Since 2012 we have, thanks to your generous donations, distributed over £300,000 locally to those in fuel debt. The amount raised last year was much smaller than previous years – we do need more this year to be able to do more.
