Handover from Simon to Jane

Courtesy of Keith Harris for giving up his house and gardens, Farnham Lions assembled to celebrate the handover of President from Simon Moran-Smith to Jane Langton. But also to induct new members Cari Cardew and Hesketh Emden.
Simon said, “It has been a great honour to be your President these last two years, taking the club into a much healthier place today. We all wish Jane a fantastic and successful year”
Simon gave Jane a small gift for being his vice-chair, and also gave husband Gary the non-Lion of the year award. Earlier he had given the real award to Phil Mutton, unfortunately absent, but fortunate for him to be sailing around the Isle of Wight.
 
Jane said “It is a real honour and privilege to take on the role of President of Farnham Lions. I’m looking forward to a fun, successful year, growing our club, welcoming new faces and working together as one team. I know that with the enthusiasm and commitment of our members we can achieve great things, continue to make a difference in our community and enjoy ourselves along the way. “
Cari and Hesketh were then inducted, and they read out the Lions Purpose and Ethics.
 
We all thank Keith and Barbie for a fabulous afternoon, and all of the catering and support teams.
